No need to take hours out of your day to prepare a hearty stew. Just combine H-E-B beef brisket and a few ingredients and your stew practically makes itself.
1 tbsp. canola oil
1 chopped onion
1 fresh jalapeno pepper, seeded and finely chopped
1 large tomato, chopped (1 1/2 cups)
1 can (15.5 oz) HCF Texas Style Ranch Beans (do not drain)
1 pound (2 cups) chopped beef brisket
Heat oil in a large cooking pot over medium heat.
Add onion and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
Add jalapeno, tomato, beans and brisket; stir to combine.
Bring mixture to a boil.
Cover and reduce heat to medium-low heat.
Cook stew for 10 more minutes.
Add-on toppings: salsa picante or pico de gallo, shredded cheese or crushed corn chips
