Argentine Meat Empanadas

12 Empanadas


1  pkg (12 oz.)  H-E-B Fully Cooked Taco Flavored Beef Crumbles

1  tsp  ground Hill Country Fare Cumin

1/4  cup  Hill Country Fare Rasins

1/4  cup  Pimento Stuffed Olives, chopped

1  H-E-B Large Egg, hard boiled and chopped

1  can (8 oz.)  H-E-B Tomato Sauce

1  pkg (17 oz.)  Frozen Puff Pastry


Heat oven to 350F. Spray 2 baking sheets with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. Thaw pastry per package instructions.

Combine the beef crumbles,cumin,raisins,chopped olives, chopped eggs and tomato sauce in a microwave safe bowl. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and microwave on High power for 4 minutes, stirring once during cooking time. Set mixture aside.

Pastry package contains 2 sheets. Cut each sheet into 6 squares. Roll squares with a rolling pin so that they are 6-inch squares. Place 1/3cup of empanada mixture in the center of each pastry square. Slightly wet the edges of the pastry with water to make a good seal. Fold the pastry over in a triangle, roll the edge over tightly to make a good seal. Pierce the empanadas with a fork and place on the prepared baking sheet.

Bake the empanadas on the center oven rack for 20 to 30 minutes
