Prep Time:

15 minutes

Cook Time:

20 minutes

4 dozen

1  cup  H-E-B butter, softened

3/4  cup  H-E-B Sugar

3/4  cup  H-E-B Brown Sugar

1  teaspoon  vanilla extract

2  eggs

2 1/4  cups  H-E-B All-Purpose Flour

1  teaspoon  baking soda

1/2  teaspoon  salt

1  (12 ounce) package  Hershey's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1  cup  Hill Country Fare Chopped Nuts, optional

Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

Combine the softened butter, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Beat the butter mixture with an electric mixer on high speed for 3 minutes or until the butter and sugar are light and fluffy. Add eggs to the cookie dough mixture and beat for 1 minute using an electric mixer on medium speed.

Combine the flour, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Add the flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time to the cookie dough mixture, using the electric mixer on medium speed (about 2 minutes), and add the chocolate chips using a large spoon.

Drop cookie dough 1 teaspoonful at a time, 2 inches apart, on ungreased cookie baking sheet pans. Bake one sheet of cookies at a time in oven on center rack 8 to 10 minutes.

Remove cookies from sheet pans and cool on wire racks
