slices of bacon, cooked crisp and chopped

cup
chopped onions
1 1/2
tbsp.
flour

tbsp.
sugar
1/2
cup
vinegar

cans
(15 oz) Hill Country sliced potatoes
1/2
teaspoon
celery seeds
![]() Instructions ![]() Cook bacon until crisp.
![]() Reserve 1 tbsp of bacon fat in skillet.
![]() Chop bacon and set aside.
![]() Heat same skillet over medium heat and add bacon fat and onions.
![]() Cook until golden (about 2 minutes).
![]() Add flour and stir to combine.
![]() Add sugar , vinegar and 1 1/2 cups water.
![]() Bring to a boil until sauce thickens.
![]() Remove from heat.
![]() Combine potato flakes and let sit for 2-3 minutes.
![]() Whip with a fork and season to taste with salt and pepper
