12 flour tortillas or 6 pita breads, separated into two halves
12 thin deli slices of H-E-B provolone cheese
1 cup puttanesca pasta sauce
1 bell pepper, seeds removed and thin sliced
1 tomato, thin sliced
1/2 red onion, thin sliced
Heat oven to 450 degrees F.
Line two baking sheets with foil and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
Place 3 tortillas or pita bread slices on each sheet pan.
Spread each with 1 1/2 tablespoons pasta sauce.
Place 1 slice of HEB Provolone cheese over sauce and top with 3 slices each of bell pepper, tomato and onion.
Top the pizza-dillas with another slice of cheese and tortilla or pita bread and spray the top with non-stick cooking spray.
Bake in oven for 5 minutes.
Remove from oven, turn pizza-dillas over and bake another 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and tortillas are golden brown.
Remove from oven, let cool 5 minutes and place on cutting surface.
Cut into wedges and serve
