4  cups  chicken broth OR

4  cups  vegetable broth

1  teaspoon  thyme

1  tablespoon  fresh chopped parsley

1 1/2  lb  chicken breast, cut into 1/2-inch slices

1 1/2  lb  top sirloin, cut into 1/2-inch slices

1  head  cauliflower, cut into small florets

1  head  broccoli, cut into small florets

1  lb  mushrooms, cleaned

1  lb  small new potatoes, parboiled


Bring the broth to a simmer over medium heat.

Stir in the chopped garlic and thyme and continue to simmer for 10 minutes.

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.

Pour broth into fondue pot and place over a flame that is set as high as possible
