1 1/2lb.lean ground beef (or beef and pork combination),
2Tbsp.H-E-B Pure Olive Oil,
•salt and pepper, to taste,
1green bell pepper, chopped,
2tsp.minced garlic in oil,
1tsp. each:oregano, ground cumin, sea salt and coarse black pepper,
1can (28 oz.)crushed tomatoes,
1jar (4 oz.)diced pimentos,
1/2c. each:golden raisins and slivered almonds,
1Heat oil in a large, deep skillet over Medium-High heat, add beef and cook 5 to 7 minutes or until browned. Stir frequently and crumble into small pieces with edge of cooking spoon.
2Add onion, bell pepper and garlic; sauté 5 more minutes or until onion is cooked. Sprinkle seasonings over beef mixture; stir and cook 5 more minutes.
3Add tomatoes, pimentos and raisins. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to Low, cover and simmer 20 minutes. Toast almonds in a skillet over Medium heat. Stir in right before serving.
