Fresh Strawberry Empanadas

1pkg.Hill Country Fare Crescent Rolls (8 pieces),

1/4c.cream cheese,

1/2c.fresh strawberries, diced,

2Tbsp.agave nectar, divided use,

1Tbsp.coarse sugar,


1Preheat oven to 350°F.

2Mix together cream cheese, strawberries and 1 tablespoon agave nectar.

3Unroll dough and place about 1 teaspoon of strawberry mixture onto each one.

4Fold over dough and crimp edges with a fork. Place onto foil-wrapped baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.

5While cooling, brush with agave nectar and sprinkle with sugar.

6Tip: You can also try with frozen strawberries. Place frozen strawberries in colander over a bowl. Place bowl in fridge overnight to defrost and strain.
