Apple Crunch with Cream

1/2c.Hill Country Fare Walnut Pieces,

1/4c.packed H-E-B Brown Sugar,

4pink lady or granny smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced,

1Tbsp.Hill Country Fare Ground Cinnamon,

2Tbsp.H-E-B Salted Butter,

1 1/2c.H-E-B Whipped Topping, heavy cream or Creamy Creations 1905 Vanilla Ice Cream (your choice),


1Heat a large skillet over medium heat for 3 minutes. Add sugar and walnuts to hot skillet and stir constantly until sugar caramelizes and coats walnuts (about 3-5 minutes). Quickly remove from heat and pour glazed walnuts on a sheet of foil to cool.

2Combine the apple slices, cinnamon, and butter in a microwave safe bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave on High power for 6 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking time. Allow the apple mixture to cool and then spoon into 6 dessert glasses or cups.

3Poor in layer of nuts as desired and top with a 1/4 cup scoop of vanilla ice cream or dessert topping and garnish with some caramelized glazed walnuts.
