Grilled Salmon With Fruit Salsa

1 to 1-1/2poundsAlaskan salmon fillets,

*salt and ground black pepper,

*Fruit Salsa:,

2 to 3mediumnectarines or peaches seeds removed,

3pieceskiwi fruit,

1ripeavocado seed and peel removed,

1/2cupred onion finely chopped,

1/4cupcilantro finely chopped,

1jalapeño seeded and finely chopped,

2Tbspfresh lime juice,


1Prepare charcoal fire or heat gas grill on High 10 minutes with lid closed. Oil grill grate well to prevent fish from sticking.

2Cut salmon into 4 portions and season with salt and pepper.

3Dice nectarines or peaches, kiwis and avocado into 1/4-inch pieces. Toss fruit with remaining salsa ingredients. Season with salt and pepper to taste; set aside.

4Place salmon on grill, skin-sides up, 4 inches above Medium heat (375°F grill surface temperature). Grill fillets 5 minutes and turn over carefully. Close grill lid and cook 5 to 10 minutes longer or until salmon is just cooked through and the center has turned from translucent to opaque.

5Remove from grill. Trim skin from salmon, if desired. Spoon Fruit Salsa over fillets and serve immediately.
