1 1/2poundshalibut steaks, cut 1-inch thick,
1large onion, chopped,
1 1/2teaspoonscurry powder,
114 ounce cancrushed tomatoes,
1Heat oil over medium-high heat in a 12-inch non-stick skillet. Brown fish until golden, 4 to 5 minutes per side. Remove fish and cover to keep warm.
2Reduce heat to medium and Sautèacute; onion until soft. Stir in garlic and curry powder; cook 1 minute.
3Add tomatoes, salt and pepper to skillet. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4Pour sauce over fish and serve immediately or simmer fish in sauce for a few minutes, as desired.
