Crunchy Fruit Salad

1can(16.25 oz) pear halves, peach halves, or sliced pineapple, chilled and drained,

4lettuce leaves, washed, dried and chilled,

1cupHoney & Nut Toasted Oats,

1/4cupchopped pecans,

1cupreduced fat cottage cheese or yogurt,


1Chill can of fruit overnight in refrigerator or place in freezer for 30 minutes.

2Arrange lettuce leaves on individual salad plates or a large platter; set aside.

3Place Honey & Nut Toasted Oats cereal and pecans in a plastic food bag and crush.

4Add one fruit half at a time to bag with crushed cereal; press to coat.

5Place coated fruit on top of lettuce leaf.

6Coat the remaining fruit.

7Scoop 1/4 cup cottage cheese or yogurt next to each fruit and garnish with a cherry or strawberry.

8Serve immediately. Tip: A great salad for family suppertime
