Texas Style Top Blade Steaks

1lb (4 to 6)Beef Top Blade Steaks, cut 3/4-inch thick,

1/2cuppicante salsa,

2tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce,

1/4cuptequila, optional,

*salt, to taste,

*black pepper, to taste,

*avocado slices, optional,

*lime wedges, optional,


1Combine salsa and Worcestershire sauce, and tequila if desired, in a small glass bowl.

2Add steaks to marinade, turning to coat.

3Marinate 15 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally.

4Heat oven to Broil while steaks marinate (or heat grill).

5Move top oven shelf so surface of steaks will cook 3 inches from heat source.

6Place steaks on a broiler pan or rack on a foil-lined baking sheet.

7Broil steaks (or grill over Medium coals) 3 to 4 minutes per side.

8Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
