Beef Skillet Steaks with BBQ Sauce

1 to 2poundsH-E-B seasoned Texas grillers filet of beef, ranch rub,

1large onion, chopped,

4clovesgarlic, minced,

2tablespoonsH-E-B butter,

3/4cupbottled chili sauce,

3tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce,

3tablespoonsfreshly squeezed lemon juice,

3tablespoonspacked brown sugar,


1Cut beef into 3/4 to 1-inch thick slices. Chop onion. Chop garlic very finely to mince.

2Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef slices 3 minutes per side, or until internal temperature of beef reaches 135 degrees for medium-rare or 145 degrees for medium doneness. Remove to a platter and cover to keep warm.

3Heat butter in same skillet. Sautèacute; onion and garlic 8 to 10 minutes until tender; scrape and stir in browned bits from bottom of pan. Add chili sauce, Worcestershire, lemon juice and brown sugar; stir to blend. Heat and stir 2 minutes over medium heat.

4Spoon sauce over steaks and serve immediately
