2 pounds steak,
2 onions, finely chopped,
2 teaspoons brown sugar,
2 teaspoons salt,
1/2 teaspoon pepper,
1 pinch cayenne pepper,
2 teaspoons capers, chopped,
2 teaspoons mixed herbs (thyme, sage, oregano),
1/3 cup ketchup,
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce,
1/3 cup vinegar,
1 Trim the steak and cut into pieces. Place in an ovenproof dish and cover with the chopped onions.
2 Blend other ingredients together and pour over steak. (The chopped onion will hold some of the liquid). Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours
3 Bake, covered with foil or ovenproof lid, at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
