Mango Pineapple Trifle

1(18.25 ounces) boxBetty Crocker Pineapple Cake Mix,


1/3cupHill Country Fare Vegetable Oil,

1(12 ounce) packageHill Country Fare Frozen Mango Chunks, sliced,

1(12 ounce) jarH-E-B More Fruit Strawberry Fruit Spread,

1(16 ounce) containerBetty Crocker Cream Cheese Frosting,


1Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 13-inch-baking dish with nonstick cooking spray or grease with softened margarine and dust with 2 Tablespoons flour; shake out excess.

2Combine cake mix, eggs, oil and 1 1/3 cup water. Mix for 2 minutes on medium speed with an electric mixer. Pour cake batter into prepared baking pan and bake on center oven rack for 35 minutes or until done. Cool cake completely in pan on cake rack and then cut into one-inch cubes.

3To assemble: Cover bottom of 3-quart trifle or punch bowl with half of the cake pieces. Spoon half of cream-cheese icing over cake pieces. Sprinkle cake with mango slices and dot with strawberry fruit spread. (Optionally, you can also add 1/2 cup sliced almonds and Hill Country Fare Coconut Flakes.) Repeat layers, topping off with remaining icing, mango, and strawberry fruit spread. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until ready to serve. Recipe can be made a day ahead of time.
