3 1/2cupsHill Country Fare Vanilla Wafers,
1/4cupbutter or margarine, melted,
1can(1 pound 4 oz) sliced apples, drained,
1 1/2cupspineapple preserve,
1Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13-inch baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
2Place Vanilla Wafers, one cup at a time, in a plastic food bag and crush with a rolling pin. Place crushed wafers and nuts in a medium-size bowl; stir to combine. Add butter and stir until mixture is moist and well blended.
3Press crust mixture in the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Let cool.
4Arrange apple slices in rows on crust.
5Heat pineapple preserve in a microwave-safe dish for 1 minute on High power. Use a brush to spread preserves over apples.
6Bake 15 more minutes.
