1c.brown sugar or brown sugar substitute,
2 tsp.ground cloves,
1Pre-heat grill to medium-low.
2Score brisket using a sharp knife to make shallow cuts in the surface, about 1/4-inch deep and 1-inch apart.
3In a small mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, cumin, cloves, and paprika.
4Rub brown sugar mixture over surface of brisket and into scores.
5Place brisket fat-side down on grill. Smoke 2 hours without turning.
6Preheat oven to 250°F.
7Remove meat from grill, wrap tightly in heavy-duty aluminum foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake 2 hours.
8Remove from oven, allow to stand 30 minutes to 1 hour before serving.
