2Tbsp.Hill Country Fare Canola Oil,

2lb.ground turkey breast,

1large sweet yellow onion, peeled & chopped,

1each:fresh poblano pepper & jalapeño pepper, seeded & chopped,

1/4c.Hill Country Fare Chili Powder,

2cans (14.5 oz.)H-E-B Peeled Whole Tomatoes No Added Salt,

2cans (14.5 oz.)Hill Country Fare Pinto or Black, rinsed & drained,


1Heat a large 12 quart soup pot over high heat for 2 minutes. Add the canola oil and the ground turkey breast. Stir-fry the meat 4 minutes until it begins to brown. Add the chopped onions and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Add the chopped peppers and the chili powder and stir-fry for 1 minute.

2Stir in the tomatoes with their juice and the cut the tomatoes in half with your stirring spoon. Add 2 cups water and the drained and rinsed beans (to remove excess sodium) and bring the chile to a boil, reduce heat to low. Tip: At this point you can put the ingredients in a crock pot if you want to cook the chili while you are at work or shopping. Or, cook the chili on low heat with a cover until chili is thick. Season the chili to taste with salt and fresh cracked black pepper.
