Ingredients

8slicesH-E-B 100% Whole Wheat Multi Grain Bread, toasted,

1/2tube (8 oz.)H-E-B Sage Sausage,

2Tbsp.Central Market Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil,

1c.H-E-B Ready Fresh Go! Chopped Onion,

1c. slicedButton Mushrooms,

3H-E-B Ready Fresh Go! Garlic Cloves, chopped,

1tsp. eachCentral Market Crushed Thyme & Ground Sage,

1/2c.H-E-B Ready Fresh Go! Chopped Celery & 3 Color Peppers,

1/2c. chopped freshlyparsley,

1c.Central Market Organics Reduced Sodium Chicken Broth,

Directions

1Heat the oven to 375°F. Spray a large baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside. Toast the bread and cut into 1/2 to 1/4-inch cubes. You can also process the cubes to coarse crumbs if you like a finer dressing texture. Set the cubes or crumbs aside.

2Heat a skillet over high heat for 2 minutes and cook the sausage until well done (about 3 minutes). Crumble sausage, drain on paper towels and set aside.

3Clean the skillet and heat over high heat for 2 minutes. Add the olive oil, onions and mushrooms; stir-fry for 3 minutes until onion is golden. Add the garlic, celery, peppers, thyme and sage and stir-fry the mixture for 5 minutes to develop the flavors. Add the crumbled sausage, cubed or crumbled bread, parsley and chicken broth to the vegetable mixture. Season the dressing to taste with salt and fresh cracked pepper.

4Pour the dressing into the prepared baking dish, cover with a sheet of sprayed foil and bake on the upper oven rack (over the turkey) for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake 5 more minutes.
