1Hill Country Fare Frozen Deep Dish Pie Crust,

1c.Hill Country Fare Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips,


1c.H-E-B Brown Sugar,

3/4c.Hill Country Fare Light Corn Syrup,

3large H-E-B Eggs,

2large H-E-B Egg Yolks,

2tsp.H-E-B Baker's Scoop Double Vanilla Extract,

1Tbsp.Hill Country Fare Cornstarch,

1Tbsp. H-E-B Butter, melted,

1 1/4c.Hill Country Fare Pecan Pieces,


1Heat oven to 325 degrees F. Bring pie crust to room temperature according to package directions; set aside. Set out one 9-inch pie pan.

2 Combine the chocolate chips and milk in a heavy bottom sauce pot over Medium heat. Stir the chips until they are melted with the milk. Evenly spread the melted chocolate on the bottom of the pie crust and set aside.

3 Combine brown sugar and syrup in a large mixing bowl and microwave on High power for 30 seconds and stir till brown sugar is dissolved.

4Combine the eggs, egg yolks, vanilla, and cornstarch in a mixing bowl and beat with an electric mixer on Medium speed for 1 minute. Add the melted butter and sugar mixture and mix on medium speed for 30 seconds. Stir in the pecans and pour the filling into the deep dish pie crust.

5Bake the pie on lower third oven rack for 55-60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool the pie completely before serving.
