Ingredients
2 lb. ground beef (no leaner than 80/20),
6 whole-wheat Kaiser rolls,
6 slices Havarti cheese ,
12 pieces H-E-B Brand Jalapeño Bacon,
2 avocados ,
1 c. Iceberg Lettuce, finely shredded ,
1/2 c. Dijon mustard ,
2 Tbsp. chipotle hot sauce ,
1 container H-E-B Ready Fresh Go! Pico de Gallo ,
6 Tbsp. Central Market Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise ,
1/2 red onion cut into ½-inch thick rings ,
* Salt and pepper, to taste,
* Non-stick cooking spray,
Directions
1 Combine Dijon mustard and chipotle hot sauce together in a small bowl, set aside. Cut and pit the avocados; then mash with a fork. Add pico de gallo. Season as desired with salt and pepper.
2 Preheat grill to medium-high heat (425-450 degrees F) and spray with non-stick cooking oil.
3 Lightly coat onions with non-stick cooking spray; then season with salt and pepper. Place onions on the grill for 2 minutes on each side or until tender.
4 Form meat into 6 patties, roughly 1½ inches thick. Season patties generously with salt and pepper; then coat patties with non-stick cooking spray. Place patties on the grill for 5 minutes with the lid closed.
5 Turn burgers and cook an additional 3 minutes with the lid closed. After 3 minutes, top burgers with a slice of cheese and allow an additional 2 minutes with lid closed.
6 While cooking the burgers, fry bacon in a pan over medium heat for 7 minutes or until crispy.
7 Spray each Kaiser roll with non-stick cooking spray and then place on a clean area of the grill. Toast for 30 seconds on each side.
