Ingredients

4 Granny Smith apples, cored and cut into ½-inch rounds,

* Juice of 1 lime,

¼ tsp. Central Market Organics® Cayenne Pepper,

½ tsp. Central Market Organics® Ground Cinnamon,

½ tsp. Central Market Organics® Ginger,

½ c. Central Market Organics™ Light Brown Sugar,

½ gallon H-E-B Creamy Creations® Vanilla Ice Cream,

Directions

1 Combine sliced apples, lime juice, and 2 cups water in a large mixing bowl, soak 5 minutes, then drain on paper towels. The lime juice will prevent the apples from turning brown.

2 Heat gas or charcoal grill to 375°F. Spray a vegetable or mesh grilling rack with nonstick cooking spray and set on a tray.

3 Combine cayenne pepper, cinnamon, ginger, and brown sugar in a pie dish. Press one side of each apple slice into the cinnamon mixture and set on grilling rack. Allow the spice mixture to dissolve into the apple for 2 minutes. Turn apple slices over and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon mixture.

4 Grill apples uncovered for 3 minutes on each side until they are caramelized and begin to sizzle and bubble. Immediately place 3 hot apple slices in each dessert bowl and top with vanilla ice cream.
