6TablespoonsH-E-B unsalted butter,

1TablespoonsH-E-B Ready, Fresh Go! Diced onions,

1/2cupH-E-B the baker's® scoop all purpose flour',

3cupsCentral Market™ Organics chicken broth,

2cupsCooked wild rice,

1cnt.H-E-B fully cooked shredded beef,

1/2cupFinely grated carrots,

3TablespoonsChopped slivered almonds,

1/2teaspoonSalt (optional),

1c.H-E-B Half & Half,

2TablespoonsDry sherry (optional),

1/3cupMinced parsley or chives,


1Melt butter in saucepan; saute onion until tender.

2Blend in flour; gradually add chicken broth. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil.

3Stir in rice, beef, carrots, almonds and salt; simmer about 5 minutes.

4Blend in half and half and sherry; heat to serving temperature.*Garnish with minced parsley or chives.
