Chili Pork Carnitas

2cupsTexas Two-Step Chile Mix,

1 1/2poundsuncooked Pork for Carnitas ( cut into 1/2-inch cubes),

2TablespoonsAdams Reserve Southwest Rub,

2TablespoonsOttavio Private Reserve Extra Virgin Olive Oil,

2TablespoonsAdams Reserve Sliced Garlic,

1teaspoonAdams Reserve Jalapeño Granules,

1/4cupchopped fresh cilantro, optional,


1Season pork with Southwest rub. Heat a large, deep skillet over Medium-High heat 3 minutes. Add oil; cook & stir pork 8 to 10 minutes or until browned.

2Add garlic and jalapeƱo granules; stir and cook 2 more minutes. Pour in chili mix; reduce heat to Medium-Low. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes, uncovered, or until pork is tender and liquid is almost evaporated; stir occasionally.

3Serve pork in hot tortillas with fresh cilantro and salsa, if desired.
