Ingredients

2cupsSplenda Sugar Substitute,

1Bolner's Fiesta Cinnamon Stick,

1Bolner's Fiesta Whole Clove,

1/4teaspoonBolner's Fiesta Whole Anise Seeds,

16sliceslow calorie wheat bread, toasted and cut into cubes,

1/2cupraisins,

3apples, peeled, cored and thin sliced,

1/2cupchopped peanuts,

1/4cupsliced almonds,

1package (8 oz.)H-E-B Shredded Monterey Jack or Cheddar Cheese,

Directions

1Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

2Combine 4 cups water, Splenda, cinnamon stick, clove and anise seeds in a 2 –quart pot. Bring mixture to a boil over high heat and cook about 2 minutes. Strain syrup to remove spices and set syrup aside.

3Layer 1/3 bread cubes, 3 Tablespoons raisins, 1/3 apple slices, 3 Tablespoons peanuts, 1 Tablespoon almonds and 3/4 cup cheese in prepared baking dish. Repeat two more layers of ingredients. Pour syrup, 1 cup at a time, over layered ingredients so that all bread is moistened. Bake on center oven rack for 30 minutes. Serve warm.
