1 1/4cupall-purpose flour,
1/2cupbutter or margarine,
1/2cupbrown sugar, firmly packed,
2tablespoonsbutter or margarine, melted,
1/2cuplight corn syrup,
1Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and 3 tablespoons brown sugar.
3Cut in 1/2 cup butter until mixtures resembles coarse crumbs.
4Pat into an ungreased 11 x 8-inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes.
5While dough is baking, use a fork to beat eggs in another bowl. Stir in 1/2 cup brown sugar, pecans, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla.
6Pour over baked crust, spreading evenly. Bake 15 to 20 minutes more or until set.
7Cool completely before cutting into bars. Chill to store.
