Holiday Sugar Cookies

5cupsHill Country Fare All Purpose Biscuit Mix,

2teaspoonsHill Country Fare Baking Powder,

3/4cupH-E-B Unsalted Butter, cut into slices,

1 3/4cupsH-E-B Sugar,

2largeH-E-B Eggs,

2teaspoonsHill Country Fare Vanilla,

1bottle, each:Wilton Green & Red Sprinkles,


1Heat oven to 350°F. Set aside 2 ungreased cookie sheets.

2Combine all purpose biscuit mix and baking powder in a large mixing bowl and set aside.

3Combine the cold butter and sugar in a mixing bowl. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer for 2 minutes or until fluffy and light. Add the eggs and vanilla to the butter mixture and beat for 1 more minute on medium speed. Stir in the flour mixture with a spoon 1/3 at a time until a stiff dough is formed.

4Divide the cookie dough into 2 pieces and keep refrigerated until ready to use. Roll out each dough piece on the back side of the ungreased cookie sheet to 1/4 inch thickness. Press the holiday cookie cutters into the dough so that the cookies are 1-inch apart. Remove the excess dough with a knife. Sprinkle the cookies with Wilton Red or Green Sprinkles.

5Bake the cookies for 10 minutes rotating the baking sheet halfway throughthe cooking time. Cool cookies on pans for 5 minutes and then transfer them to a wire rack.
