Ingredients

2 1/4cupsflour,

1cupbrown sugar,

3/4cupsugar,

2teaspooncinnamon, divided use,

1/2teaspoonsalt,

1/4teaspoonginger,

3/4cupcorn oil,

1cupchopped pecans,

1teaspoonbaking powder,

1tspbaking soda,

1egg,

1cupbuttermilk,

Directions

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2Oil a 9x13 inch baking pan.

3Mix flour, brown sugar, sugar, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, salt, ginger and oil in a large bowl.

4Remove 3/4 cup flour mixture and combine with pecans and remaining cinnamon.

5Mix well, set aside for topping.

6Add baking powder, soda, egg and buttermilk to remaining flour mixture.

7Blend well.

8Pour into prepared pan.

9Sprinkle reserved nut mixture over batter.

10Bake 35 to 40 minutes
