Asparagus Quiche

1Hill Country Fare refrigerated pie crust,

6slicesH-E-B Fully Cooked bacon, chopped,

19 ounce boxfrozen Hill Country Fare asparagus spears, cut into 1-inch sections,

4eggs, beaten,

1 1/2cupsH-E-B half and half, heavy cream or skim milk,

1cupshredded H-E-B jalapeno jack cheese,


1Heat oven to 400 degrees. Line a deep-dish pie pan with one Hill Country Fare refrigerated pie crust. Sprinkle chopped bacon and cut frozen asparagus in pie crust and set aside.

2Combine eggs, half and half or cream and 1/2 cup of shredded cheese in a bowl. Season mixture with salt and fresh cracked black pepper. Carefully pour egg mixture over asparagus and bacon. Top the quiche with remaining shredded cheese.

3Bake on center oven rack for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees and continue baking quiche for 35 more minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean
