Hearty Black-Eyed Pea Dip

1jar (1.12 lbs.)New Canaan Farms Hill Country Caviar,

1can (15 oz.)black-eyed peas, undrained,

16ozs.H-E-B EZ Melt Cheese,

1cupfrozen H-E-B Seasoned Beef Crumbles,

2ripe roma tomatoes, finely chopped,

1can (4 ozs.)chopped green chiles,


1Drain and discard juice from Hill Country Caviar. Place “caviar” in a 3-quart pot; add black-eyed peas, including juice. Mash coarsely with a fork or potato masher.

2Cut cheese into 1-inch cubes. Place cheese cubes and frozen beef crumbles in a microwave-safe dish; cover with a lid and heat in microwave until cheese melts. Stir mixture occasionally and rotate dish.

3Meanwhile, chop tomatoes finely. Add tomatoes and green chilies to pot with black-eyed peas. Stir over Medium heat. Add melted cheese and beef. Stir to combine and heat thoroughly. Serve hot
