1poundground lean sirloin,
1poundbulk hot sausage,
1fresh jalapeno pepper, finely chopped,
2 (8 oz.)canstomato sauce,
1 (15 oz.)candark red kidney beans, drained,
1Cook sirloin, sausage, onion, jalapeno and garlic in a large skillet or Dutch oven until meat is browned.
2Stir in next 9 ingredients.
3Cook, covered over low heat 1 hour 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4Skim off fat.
5Mix corn starch with water, add to chili, mix well.
6Add beans, cover and cook another 30 minutes over low heat.
7Remove bay leaf befor serving
