Rustic Mixed Berry Tart

1/2 pkg. (14 oz.) refrigerated pie dough

3 Tbsp. granulated sugar

1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch

3 1/2 c. frozen or fresh mixed berries (raspberries, strawberries, & blueberries)

1 lemon, zest & juice

1 egg, beaten

1 Tbsp. milk


Preheat oven to 400°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll dough on a flat floured surface. Roll out
to an approximate 12-inch circle. Gently transfer to prepared pan.
Combine sugar, cornstarch, berries, lemon juice and zest. Toss well to coat. Place berry m
ixture on dough leaving a 2-inch border all the way around. Fold border of dough up over e
dges of berry mixture.
In a small bowl combine egg with milk and brush over dough and berry mixture. Place on cen
ter oven rack and bake 30 minutes or until tart is golden brown and berry mixture is bubbl
y. Cool before serving.
