1 pkg. frozen puff pastry
1/2 c. pecans, chopped
1/2 jar Better Than Good Bacon Jam
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked fully and chopped
3 Granny Smith Apples, sliced thinly
1 egg, beaten
• coarse granulated decorative sugar
Thaw puff pastry in refrigerator per instructions on package.
Preheat oven to 375ºF. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut into rectangles of m
atching size. Place ½ of rectangles on a baking sheet.
Mix nuts, bacon jam, bacon and apples together and spoon onto rectangles on baking sheet.
Using a pastry brush, brush edges of dough with beaten egg.
Top with remaining rectangles and seal by pressing edges together. Brush egg over top laye
r and make decorative slashes in pastry. Sprinkle with coarse sugar and bake 15 - 25 minut
es, depending on size of strudels.
