Sweet Chili Peppercorn Steak

* Sweet Chili Peppercorn Rub:

1 Tbsp. H-E-B Brown Sugar

2 tsp. Hill Country Fare Chili Powder

1 tsp. fresh cracked black peppercorns

1 tsp. Central Market Organics Minced Garlic

1/2 tsp. kosher salt

1 (2 lb.) H-E-B All Natural Sirloin Steak, cut 1 inch thick


Combine brown sugar, chili powder, black pepper, garlic and salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle
the rub evenly over both sides of the steak, pressing the rub gently into the meat. Cover
steak with plastic wrap and allow it to sit at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes befo
re grilling.
Meanwhile, heat charcoal for 30 minutes until covered with a light layer of gray ash or he
at gas grill on high for 10 minutes with lid closed.
Grill steak over medium heat (375°F grill surface temperature) for 4 to 7 minutes per
side or until internal temperature reaches 140°F for medium rare or 150°F for medi
um doneness. Let steak sit for 2 minutes, then serve.
