Pepper Garlic Crusted Steak
12 - 16 minutes
2 Tbsp. kosher salt
2 ½ to 3 Tbsp. fresh cracked pepper
4 to 6 H-E-B Ready, Fresh, Go!® Garlic Cloves
½ c. H-E-B Olive Oil
4 (8 to 10 oz. each, ¾ -inch thick) H-E-B Natural Angus T-Bone Steaks
1 red onion, peeled and cut into ½-inch slices, rings separated
1 green bell pepper, seeds and stem removed, cut into strips
Combine salt, pepper, garlic, and olive oil in a food processor bowl. Blend for 30 seconds
or until garlic is chopped.
Press and rub pepper blend on both sides of each steak and place in a tray or dish. Cover
with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to grill.
Prepare charcoal or gas grill for cooking (375°F). Place steaks on grill rack. Cook each s
ide for 6 to 8 minutes or until internal temperature reaches desired degree of doneness (m
edium-rare 145°F, medium 160°F, well-done 170°F).
Spray a vegetable grill rack or mesh with olive oil. Arrange onion rings and bell pepper s
trips on rack and season with salt and pepper. Spray with olive oil nonstick cooking spray
and grill for 4 minutes or until golden. Serve grilled onions and peppers with steaks.
