Navy Bean And Tomato Soup
60 to 90 minutes
1 bag (1 pound) H-E-B Great Northern Beans (2 cups dry)
3 cans (14 1/2 oz. each) chicken broth or 6 cups of water
1 can (14 1/2 oz) diced Italian seasoned tomatoes
1 bag frozen stew vegetables
1 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
1 teaspoon oregano leaves
Soak beans according to package instructions. Rinse and drain.
Place beans and add all other ingredients in a large soup pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce hea
t, cover and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until beans are tender.
Serve immediately or refrigerate overnight. Freezes well.
