Curried Halibut

1 1/2 pounds halibut steaks, cut 1-inch thick

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 large onion, chopped

4 cloves garlic, crushed

1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder

1 14 ounce can crushed tomatoes

1/4 teaspoon salt

Heat oil over medium-high heat in a 12-inch non-stick skillet. Brown fish until golden, 4
to 5 minutes per side. Remove fish and cover to keep warm.
Reduce heat to medium and Sautèacute; onion until soft. Stir in garlic and curry powder; c
ook 1 minute.
Add tomatoes, salt and pepper to skillet. Cook 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
