Fettuccini Alfredo with Ham and Peas
1 pound HEB fettuccini
1 cup HEB heavy whipping cream (8 oz)
2 cups milk
2 cups (10 oz package) frozen petite peas
6 to 8 oz. cooked ham
* salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Cook fettuccine according to package directions.
While fettuccine is cooking, pour the cream and milk into a large skillet. Bring to a boil
over medium-high heat, then add the frozen peas, ham, salt and pepper, to taste.
Bring mixture back to a boil, stirring constantly. As soon it begins to boil again, turn o
ff heat and set aside.
When fettuccine is done, drain well, then place back in the cooking pot. Add the cream sau
ce mixture and stir gently and constantly over medium-low heat until liquid is mostly abso
rbed (about 4-5 minutes). Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
