Texas Style Top Blade Steaks
1 lb (4 to 6) Beef Top Blade Steaks, cut 3/4-inch thick
1/2 cup picante salsa
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup tequila, optional
* salt, to taste
* black pepper, to taste
* avocado slices, optional
* lime wedges, optional
Combine salsa and Worcestershire sauce, and tequila if desired, in a small glass bowl.
Add steaks to marinade, turning to coat.
Marinate 15 to 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
Heat oven to Broil while steaks marinate (or heat grill).
Move top oven shelf so surface of steaks will cook 3 inches from heat source.
Place steaks on a broiler pan or rack on a foil-lined baking sheet.
Broil steaks (or grill over Medium coals) 3 to 4 minutes per side.
Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
