Sesame Five Spice Pork With Asian Plum Sauce
1 pound boneless Pork Sirloin Chops, cut 1/2-inch thick
1 teaspoon Morton & Bassett Chinese Five Spice
1 cup World Art Foods Asian Plum Sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce, divided
1 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoons Morton & Bassett Sesame Seeds, toasted
2 fresh or canned pineapple rings, cut into bite-size pieces
Season pork chops on both sides with Chinese five spice, salt and pepper; set aside.
Heat a large skillet 2 minutes over Medium-High heat; add 1 tablespoon each of plum sauce,
soy sauce and sesame oil. Tilt skillet or wok to coat. Cook pork in skillet 5 minutes per
side; reduce heat to Medium if skillet gets too hot. While pork cooks, toast sesame seeds
in a separate small skillet 3 to 5 minutes over Medium heat.
Return skillet to Medium-Low heat; add remaining Asian Plum Sauce and 1-tablespoon soy sau
ce. Scrape bottom of skillet to loosen and stir in any browned bits left in skillet. Simme
r sauce 5 minutes, uncovered, to Remove chops to a platter; set aside to cool slightly. th
icken and reduce slightly.
Meanwhile, cut pork chops into thin slices; add pork and pineapple to sauce in skillet, al
ong with any juices from until pork is desired degree of doneness. Sprinkle with pork that
accumulated on platter. Simmer 1 minute or sesame seeds and serve immediately.
