Chili Pork Carnitas

2 cups Texas Two-Step Chile Mix

1 1/2 pounds uncooked Pork for Carnitas ( cut into 1/2-inch cubes)

2 Tablespoons Adams Reserve Southwest Rub

2 Tablespoons Ottavio Private Reserve Extra Virgin Olive Oil

2 Tablespoons Adams Reserve Sliced Garlic

1 teaspoon Adams Reserve Jalapeño Granules

1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, optional


Season pork with Southwest rub. Heat a large, deep skillet over Medium-High heat 3 minutes
. Add oil; cook & stir pork 8 to 10 minutes or until browned.
Add garlic and jalapeƱo granules; stir and cook 2 more minutes. Pour in chili mix; reduce
heat to Medium-Low. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes, uncovered, or until pork is tender and liqui
d is almost evaporated; stir occasionally.
Serve pork in hot tortillas with fresh cilantro and salsa, if desired.
