1 1/2 pounds boneless Beef Sirloin Steak, cut 3/4-inch thick

3/4 cup Allegro Hickory Smoke Marinade

1/2 cup beef broth

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 tablespoon Hill Country Fare Vegetable Oil

1 teaspoon Hill Country Fare Ground Black Pepper


Combine marinade ingredients in a 1-gallon sealable plastic bag. Add steak and turn bag to
coat; marinate in refrigerator 4 to 6 hours or overnight.
Heat charcoal 30 minutes until coals are covered with a light layer of gray ash, or heat g
as grill on High 10 minutes with lid closed.
Remove steaks from marinade; place steaks on the grill 4 inches above Medium heat (375 deg
rees F grill surface temperature). To determine temperature of grill surface, hold palm ju
st above cooking grate; if heat causes you to pull away in 4 seconds, temperature is Mediu
m. Grill steaks 6 to 8 minutes per side or until a meat thermometer inserted horizontally
into center of steaks reads 140 degrees F for Medium-Rare or 155 degrees F for Medium done
ness. Let steaks stand 2 minutes, carve into thin slices and serve
