1/2 cup rum or bourbon

1/4 cup olive oil

1 tablespoon chili powder

1 medium garlic clove, finely chopped

1 teaspoon ground oregano

1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

4 beef strip loin or rib eye steaks, cut 1 inch thick


Mix rum with olive oil, chili powder, garlic, oregano and hot pepper sauce to make the mar
inade. Add steaks to marinade and marinate for 30 minutes.
Grill steaks 4 to 6 inches from medium coals for 9 to 12 minutes, turning once.
