Asian Walnut Chicken Tenders

1 cup Tempura Frying Mix

3/4 cup AzarĀ® Walnut Pieces

1 Tbsp Fresh Ginger, peeled and chopped

1/4 cup Lime Juice

1/4 cup Soy Sauce

1 tsp Sesame Oil

1 1/2 pounds Hill Country Fare Frozen Chicken Tenders


For oven baking, heat oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and spray with non-
stick cooking spray.
Combine the tempura mix, walnuts and chopped ginger in a food processor bowl and process f
or 5 seconds. Place walnut mixture in a shallow bowl.
Combine the lime juice, soy sauce and sesame oil in a small bowl and set aside.
Season the chicken tenders to taste with salt and black pepper. Dip the chicken in the wal
nut mixture and then dip into the lime juice mixture. Roll the chicken one more time in th
e walnut mixture and place on the prepared baking sheet.
Bake the chicken on the center oven rack for 30 minutes or until golden and the juices run
Pan Fry Method: Make sure chicken tenders are thawed before applying tempura walnut coatin
g. Pan fry with 1/4 cup canola oil for 5 minutes per side.
