1 (18.25 oz.) box Betty Crocker White Cake Mix
3 egg whites
1/2 c. crema fresca or heavy whipping cream
1/2 c. H-E-B More Fruit Strawberry Preserve
1 (1 lb.) container Betty Crocker Ready-to-Serve Chocolate Frosting
Heat oven to 350°F. Heavily spray two heart-shaped cake pans with nonstick cooking spr
ay and dust with 2 tablespoons flour; shake out excess.
Combine cake mix, egg whites, cream and 1 1/4 cups water in a large mixing bowl. Mix for 2
minutes on medium speed with an electric mixer. Pour cake batter into prepared heart-shap
ed cake pan and bake for 45 minutes or until cake is done. Let cake cool in pan on cake ra
ck for 20 minutes.
Remove cakes from pans and place the first layer on a cake plate. Spread the strawberry pr
eserve on top of the first layer and arrange the second layer over the preserves. Frost ca
ke with frosting.
Decorate the cake with rasperries or strawberries.
