Pecan Praline Bar Cookies
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) H-E-B Butter, chilled
2 cups flour
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup H-E-B Butter
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons H-E-B Heavy Whipping Cream
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 cups Hill Country Fare Pecan Pieces
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
To prepare crust, cut 1 1/2 sticks butter into 1/2-inch pieces and place in food processor
. Add remaining crust ingredients and pulse (on/off) until mixture begins to form small lu
mps. Place in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan and pat crust mixture over bottom. Bake 20 minutes
or until light golden. Remove from oven.
Prepare topping while crust bakes: melt butter in a heavy 2-quart saucepan over Medium hea
t. Stir in honey and cream. Add brown sugar; stir and bring to a boil. Cook 1 minute, remo
ve from heat and stir in pecans.
Pour topping evenly over hot crust. Return to oven and bake 20 minutes longer or until top
ping is browned and bubbling. Let cool; cut into squares and serve. Note: If bars are di
fficult to cut, place in oven for 5 minutes to warm slightly or cut bars while still warm
