1 can (21 oz.) lucky leaf sweet cherry pie filling
1 cup All purpose biscuit mix
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 container (8 oz.) Hill Country Fare whipped topping: regular or fat free
Combine the pie filling and 1/2 cup water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil over medium h
eat. Lower the heat to low and keep pie filling bubbling.
Combine the biscuit mix and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the milk to the biscuit mixture an
d stir lightly into a dough. Drop the dough into the bubbling cherry filling by the tables
poonful. Cook the mixture uncovered on low heat for 10 minutes. Cover the pan and cook cov
ered on low heat for 15 more minutes.
Serve the Cherry Dumplings warm and add a spoonful of whipped topping
