Fried Cheese Appetizers

1/2 pkg. (16 oz.) H-E-B low moisture part skim mozzarella or H-E-B oaxaca cheese

1 cup H-E-B baker’s scoop seasoned flour

1/3 cup Hill Country Fare white cornmeal

1 cup H-E-B Buttermilk

1 quart Mazola corn oil

1/4 cup H-E-B Texas Twists® dressing any flavor


Cut the cheese into 1/4-inch thick sliceslengthwise. Then cut each slice in halflengthwise
to make long cheese strips andset aside. Combine flour and cornmeal in abowl and set asid
e. Pour buttermilk into a bowland set aside.
Heat oil in an electric fryer to 37 deg c
Dip the cheese into the buttermilk and then intothe flour mixture. Shake off excess floura
nd drop into the hot oil. Fry 5 to 6cheese pieces at a time for 1 minute oruntil golden. D
rain the fried cheese onpaper towels. Arrange the fried cheeseappetizers on a tray with th
e H-E-B TexasTwists®; Dressing in a small dip bowl and serve
