Open-Face Baguette With Onions, Peppers, Mushrooms, Tomato Sauce & Cheese

Ingredients

2 Tbsp. canola oil

1 onion, chopped

1 pt. white button mushrooms, chopped

2 green bell peppers, sliced

1 Tbsp. chopped garlic

1 can (8 oz.) H-E-B No Salted Added Tomato Sauce

1 artisan baguette

Directions


Preheat oven to 350°F.
Heat a large skillet on Medium-High until hot. Add oil, onions, mushro
oms, peppers, and garlic. Sauté 6 to 8 minutes. Stir in tomato
sauce. Set aside.
Slice baguette horizontally into 2 pieces and place on a baking sheet.
Spoon sautéed mixture on both halves of baguette, top with chee
se, and bake 10 minutes.
